NexWatch High Availability Server with Stargate High Availability Server with Stargate (HA-1, HA-2)

NexWatch's new entry into the high end access control environment are two models, HA-1 and HA-2. These systems use the core technology of Server class computing platforms to provide high availability and high reliability. The heart of these systems is a data protection strategy based on the industry standard RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks). The security database and all other application transactions are securely stored and safeguarded against disk failure or corruption.

HA-1
Where data is of the utmost importance, the NexWatch HA-1 High Availability Server, with RAID-5 data storage, provides highly reliable data protection for large, multi-door systems.

HA-2
The NexWatch HA-2 High Availability Server extends the mission critical concept one step further. It also includes a second server. This second server acts as a second safety layer, quiescent until needed, but able to switch into service the moment the quot;Star-Monitorquot; detects problems with the application program. The HA-2 extends the level of protection and redundancy to include Data, Hardware and Software Applications.

By providing complete hardware redundancy, and uniquely monitoring the systems using a software program named quot;Star-Monitorquot;, your security system will never be in danger of costly down time or loss of critical data.

The most important aspect of our High Availability Systems is the protection of data. Through the use of RAID technology, the security database will be protected on multiple disk drives using this special writing technique. NexWatch has chosen to use five (5) hard drives in our RAID configuration. Minimum RAID architecture would be three drives. This server industry standard of adding two more 'hot' spares delivers two levels of fallback in the event of a disk drive failure.

Both systems use the same base hardware configurations. This will allow you to start with our base system, yet grow into a fully redundant system in the future.

This StarGaze application runs on the world's most stable Operating System, RedHat Linux version 6.2
Two Systems to choose from:

Data Secure System: HA-1 for large, multi-door applications
Full System Redundancy: HA-2 for systems demanding full protection and redundancy

Supports Hotquot; swappable architecture for all critical components. This includes fans, power supplies and disk drives.
Each of these systems can be backed up by an optional UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). This UPS can be sized to allow up to 30 minutes during power outages.
