NexWatch UNIVERSAL WIU Wiegand Interface
Unit
Wiegand Interface Unit (WIU) is a conversion module that allows
facilities with Wiegand physical interface systems to upgrade to WSE
advanced digital technology while keeping intact the current wiring
scheme of the security network. WIU supports standard 26- or 34-bit,
5-wire Wiegand protocol between one NexSentry controller and up to four
DR4205W DigiReaders. WIU is compatible with NexSentry 4100 Series
Controllers and security management for UNIX and Windows NT .
NexWatch UNIVERSAL WIU Wiegand Interface Unit Features:
Uses existing Wiegand wiring and physical interface protocol to support
digital access management systems
Supports standard 26- and 34-bit, 5-wire Wiegand protocol
Provides easy migration path to advanced WSE digital technology or to
meet bid specifications
WIU interfaces between one controller and up to four DR4205W DigiReaders
Compatible with the NexSentry 4100 Series Controllers and security
management systems for UNIX and Windows NT
DR4205W provides read range up to six inches (15 cm) through wallet or
purse when used with WSE's DuraKey
Flexible installation options for DR4205W:
- Indoor and outdoor versions
-Glass mounting with bi-directional LED
Audible tone and programmable three-color LED activity signals
